Complete Solution for Current Measurement:

Maconic shunt resistors and isolators from Knick

For the measurement of DC currents, Knick has long since offered specialized shunt isolators. These detect the mV signal of a current sensor (that is a shunt resistor inserted in the circuit) and convert it into a proportional standard signal. Now, Knick has added these shunt resistors to its product portfolio to provide a complete solution for current measurement. The new Maconic shunt resistor series stands out by its high accuracy and excellent long-term stability.

The standard product line includes shunt resistors from 10 A to 8 kA (up to15 kA) with a voltage drop of 60 mV and accuracy class 0.5. High-precision class 0.2 shunt resistors can be provided on request. The name Maconic comes from the material the resistors are made of: an alloy of manganese, copper and nickel, which enables a very low temperature dependence of the resistor.
